Ø30mm M8 Threaded Tube Insert x 1.5mm Wall

30mm metric round ribbed M8 threaded tube inserts designed to push into round tube to act as a foot, with an outside or external diameter of 30mm with a 1.5mm wall thickness.  Unlike standard ribbed tube inserts used for finishing and capping off, these threaded / tapped inserts are used for screwing feet or castors into, giving you the option of height adjustment or mobility.

Threaded inserts by their nature will be made from a harder material than normal tube inserts, as the integrity of the thread needs to remain intact when coupled with a foot or castor and they're all designed to retain themselves inside tube, with the head sitting over the outer ends of the tube or pipe, sitting flush with the outside circumference of the tube and providing a neat finished appearance.

Tube inserts are always listed the same way that tube is listed because the head of the insert needs to marry up with the outside edges of the tube.  They often come in a variety of wall thicknesses and gauge sizes but if you're unsure on fit, you can click the 'Request Sample' button, or for help measuring your tube, try out this useful sizing pdf.

Q: Hi Guys, Can you let me know how long this is? This is exactly what I am after but I need it 35mm long. Regards James

A: I've just clicked the Blue 'View Drawing' button that you'll find on most product pages, and the 'L' Dimension states that this part pushes into the tube 25.5mm. There is another option from the same section, which protrudes into the tube a little deeper at 31mm, SKU Ref : 'T-02011-B-030S' but other than that, the only thing you could consider, is something from our Expander range - but these don't have heads to sit on the outside of the tube, as they're designed to expand when you insert a male thread, SKU Ref : 'T-09022-030A' so they don't finish off the tube in the conventional way.
