Ø80mm Oval Profile Metal Desk Grommet

Solid zamak metal cable ports designed to push fit into 80mm round holes in desks, tables, counter tops and work surfaces, with a rectangular profile top dimension of 130x90mm and a shank depth of 22mm.  Seamlessly manage cables and wires, whilst also tidying up drilled or machined holes.

Slide apart design with a lid that splits to allow for easy insertion and passaging of wires and cables.  Comes fully assembled ready to go and and whilst manufacturers will use CNC machines to router a hole for this, we do also supply a range of hole saws and arbors, if you're needing to cut your own holes.

Q: Could you tell me whether the the two top sections come apart or open up to allow a UK mains plug to pass through the hole?

A: I've just physically checked one of these parts and when both halves of the top have been split simultaneously, you can fit a standard plug through no problem and a couple of moulded/insulated plugs I tried, also went through fine (at the right angle). It measures just a fraction over 44mm when extended fully, according to my vernier. The aperture is also brush lined, so in theory you can close it up fully and cables can still pass through the brushes. Hope all ok! BPF WebSales

Q: Hi, With regards to your item C-01050-E080B-079-297 cable port could you tell me if the sliding top parts can be removed once its in knocked into the 80mm hole? or do you knock it in then slide the covers on? I need something that cannot be dismantled by kids in a large school with lots of these...if the sliding parts click into place and cannot be removed without vandalising them then that's ok. if they just slide on and off then thats not OK.

A: Hello. The unit comes fully assembled and the sliding tops are screw-fixed to the port. The tops are not designed to be removed. I hope this assists. Kind regards, BPF

Q: What is the width of the opening when the 2 sliding pieces are pushed closed. I want to stop a wire falling through when its not plugged in.
