30mm Round Ribbed Tube Insert, Matt Chrome Cap

These 30mm round ribbed tube inserts are a more cosmetic alternative to our Standard Flat Round Inserts or our Domed and Angled Round Inserts, as the head has been enhanced by a wrap-around Chrome Metal Cap.  Particularly popular in the Retail, POS  and Shopfitting industries, there are options with Bright Chrome or Matt Chrome Caps although the Insert itself has a regular Black plastic ribbed shank so remains nice and flexible for fitting into mutlipe tube wall thicknesses.

As with all our Round Tube Inserts, they're designed to provide a clean, secure finish for hollow round tubes and pipes. Thanks to the flexible lateral ribs running around the shank of the insert, they should be suitable for tube wall thickness of between 1.5 to 2mm metric (14-16 gauge imperial), unless otherwise stated.  

They can also be used as protective end caps, tube feet, and finishing plugs across furniture, fabrication, and light industrial applications. They're designed to retain themselves inside tube, with the head sitting over the outer ends of the tube or pipe, sitting flush with the outside circumference of the tube and providing a neat finished appearance.

Head dia was 5mm bigger then tube did...................Hmmmm

With these 'Chrome Capped' Inserts, you tend to find that it's a standard 30mm Round Plastic Insert that has a Chrome Capp added onto it, as a secondary operation - so this Capping, does obviously increase the diameter. We do publish a drawing on the website which can be accessed by clicking the Blue 'View Drawing' button and this indicates that with the cap added, the top diameter will be 35mm. It's just the way everyone tends to work with these Chrome Capped Inserts so if with the Cap added, you want it to stay within the 30mm Diameter, then maybe the 25mm option might be a better bet but then there's every chance that you will lose the fit! As with the vast majority of our products, there's an Orange 'Request Sample' button on the product page that you can click, if you want to try before you buy so feel free to do that with one of the smaller sizes, in conjunction with studying that Blue 'View Drawing' button and hopefully you'll find something that works for you.
