50mm T/W, 38mm Plate Unbraked - 40kg

A Twin Wheel Castor designed for lighter duty furniture/shopfitting applications, these are a Hooded Design and come with a Brake or UnBraked option.  We supply a wide variety of fittings such as threaded pins, plates, friction fit etc. and you have the option in most cases of buying the units assembled or unassembled.  

With any Castor or Wheel - they're notoriously difficult to match up as there are so many manufacturers out there and there's not guarantee that one castor wheel body will work with another fixing. So we strongly recommend that you use the filter options on the left hand size to only view Castor + Fixing, then you'll know for sure that the fixing is compatible.

We recommend that with all our castors you use the fittings we specify within this category as there's so many manufacturers out there of chair bases and sockets that you can't guarantee that all castors will be universal.  If you're in any doubt then please ask for a sample.  

We show standard colours & finishes where possible but these are constantly changing so if you require a colour not listed in the drop-down, speak to us as we may well have added it since.

Q: Hi, I have been talking with your customer support.I need a castor for an FSDU that will weigh approx 50 - 55kg, no more than 50mm total height, I've used the ones shown before and they have collapsed in the past. However this was pushing a unit over rough ground. The stand that the wheels will go on will literally be taken into store, positioned using the wheels and then be levelled with adjustable feet. The stand with product will be approx 70kg and the wheels plus feet will need to support this

If you are concerned about the weight and stability, we have a number of heavy duty castors which are available here: https://www.bpfonline.co.uk/search.asp?catid=11058 ; As long as the weight is evenly distributed then the wheels should not give way. It is worth bearing in mind that each wheel will hold it’s load rating, so for example, if you buy x4 wheels with a load rating of 50kgs each then in theory they will be able to hold 200kg (again though, provided that the weight is evenly distributed).
