Q: Hello - I think I require the 40mm Hi x 50mm Dia Glide with reinforced spigot 9.6mm diameter. I have lost a foot from my sofa and now only have 3 feet. I just want to know how the foot is secured into the sofa base. On the 3 feet I have the spigot is push in and held in place by it being vertically ribbed - this prevents it falling out if the sofa is lifting. Many thanks.

A: I can see from the image that there are no vertical ribs on this spigot and the dimension of the round spigot is 9.6mm - so you'd have to rely on an inteference fit. If you bought them and they weren't suitable, then it would be possible to return them for a refund - provided they were still in an unused and saleable condition.
