Just in the process of publishing your review and was concerned with your comment 'live agent who advised me but it was wrong item' as we should never never be telling a customer what they should use for an application that isn't visible to us from a remote online chat desk. Having checked the live chat transcripts for that day, where I can see you've typed : 'I am trying to find an M8 female clamping knob if possible to have just 1 quantity' and I can see our response was 'how about this one : https://www.bpfonline.co.uk/show_product.asp?id=6269&catid=11026' where they've directed you to page showing an image and a technical drawing of an M8 Female HandWheel. So the 'how about this one' was only a suggestion and was never advice as such but the product did match what you had asked us for, so it's a perfectly reasonable product to have directed you to. So apologies it didn't work for you and for the fact you spent 38 pence + postage on an item that didn't work but it's not necessarily a fault of the product or the live chat agent, rather it just didn't happen to work for your particular application. We'd always recommend customers consult all the information we publish online including the images, sizing detail and dimensional drawings and that's why we give customers links to potential products but if that doesn't confirm suitability, then there's always the 'Request Sample' button published on most product pages (including this one) enabling customers to try before they buy.
