Wedge Shape Headboard Bolt, 5/16" BSW x 2" - Cone

This particular product has a 5/16 " UNC x 18 TPI Thread, which also suits the a BSW thread, which is what it's most commonly referred to as, hence the description of BSW.

These Headboard Bolts come in a variety of sizes and profiles and there's also a choice of having Flat Ends or Cone Points.  We've got Metric and Imperial Options and both the Wedge and the Star Profiles have a integral slot so they can be adjusted if the thumbwheel isn't that accessible.

We show standard colours & finishes where possible but these are constantly changing so if you require a colour not listed in the drop-down, speak to us as we may well have added it since.

I had despaired of finding Imperial headboard bolts for my twentyyearold (or more) divan. These were perfect better than the originals at a reasonable price and arrived within 36 hours.

Searched everywhere for these. BPF online were great and despite Covid-19 restrictions, they arrived on time. They fit perfectly and are great tool free fixings.

A previous purchase elsewhere claimed their bolts fitted over 90% of UK beds - but they did not fit mine!
These BPF bolts, on the other hand, fitted perfectly! I would recommend BPF for any similar requirements and will use again if I get stuck for the right part, bolt etc. Many thanks, BPF!

Good quality product but thread dia. too big for the socket. Shame ! Not BPF's fault .

Response from BPF Websales
Normally these parts are 5/16” imperial but more commonly they are a metric M8 - so are you sure the socket you’ve got isn’t in fact M8. If it is then the thread will bind, rather than actually being too big! It’s just i’ve not come across a bed manufacturer straying away from this industry standard as yet!

After searching locally & online for these imperial size headboard bolts, I discovered not many places sell them, and BPF seemed to be the best value, so I went with them. The bolts arrived very quickly, and fitted perfectly into my old divan base which has been moved to the spare room - job done!

HOWEVER... a word of CAUTION... I thought I'd ordered 2 *pairs* of bolts, but only 2 bolts arrived. On re-checking the item description, I saw that they are indeed sold as SINGLE items, so it was my mistake... but a very easy mistake to make. So make sure that you order 2 of these if you need a PAIR. Obvious, I know, but just be careful! :-)

Having re-commissioned an unused divan base back into the fleet and purchased a new mattress and headboard, we found we'd fallen into the trap of buying metric headboard bolts. When they turned out to be too big to fit, it was obvious we needed a pair of imperial bolts, and these were exactly what we needed, and of a very good quality.

Q: Is there just one screw per pack or is it a pair? Thanks

A: Hello, We sell these parts individually, as often people just want to replace one wheel, that's been lost or damaged - so if you needed a pair then you would have to order 2. Hope that helps! BPF WebSales
