Whatever your reason, in a situation where a standard size door handle isn’t fitting the bill, one of our build your own dual fix door handles could be exactly what you are looking for.

Many a repair or DIY project has fallen at the final hurdle – the handle. Finding a handle that is the right length to cover existing holes, robust enough to take the weight needed, or inexpensive enough to be used for applications en-masse can be more difficult than it sounds.

That’s why we’ve released a range of dual fix, build your own handles.

With our build your own handle set, you simply buy your end moulding and then buy or source a tube to fit between the two end mouldings, which just slots into place.

The end mouldings are black and are made from glass reinforced nylon for extra strength. We sell the mouldings separately for extra versatility so, if you’re creating a handle for a door or cupboard, you’ll need to buy two mouldings.

Our end piece mouldings are substantial, making it easy to cover or using existing holes and come in 20mm diameter end pieces or 25mm diameter options.

Then you choose your central pole – of course, if you already have one, you can choose to use that. But if you haven’t, we supply tubular handles in aluminium in lengths of 200mm, 300mm, 400mm 500mm and 700mm long, and also come in 20mm or 25mm diameters so you can find the best length pole for the task.

The aluminium pole contrasts with the black end mouldings that fit to the door for a striking look.

The versatility of these handles mean that you can have matching handles on all your internal doors, even where different sizes are needed to reflect the different door types or sizes.

Fitting the build your own door handle

When fitting the build you own door handle, it couldn’t be easier. You simply attach one of the end mouldings, slide the right length pole in, then attach the other end moulding. With cutaways in all the right places to make it easy to attach the end moulding to the door with a screw, it really can be done in moments.
