What is the Fuerte connection system

With the FUERTE KD furniture connection system, you can create robust 90-degree and 180-degree joints, perfect for building and repairing all kinds of furniture where joints can’t be on show, simply using an allen key and wooden dowels

There are many types of KD joint systems on the market. However, not all KD systems work the same way. Some cheaper KD components fail to hold a tight connection. With just a little movement, the walls of the holes made to fit the housing of the KD mechanism are compromised, allowing more space for movement when the joint comes under pressure. Over time, the movement means the furniture joint can become compromised. In extreme situations, this can risk damaging the visible elements of the furniture or compromising its structure.

How to use the Fuerte connection system?

Fixing furniture with the Fuerte KD system is really easy. Simply insert the housing and the bolt into the requisite holes, connect the dowel. Then, with an allen key simply turn the housing to lock the steel dowel into place. This securely draws the two sides of the furniture together and fixes it securely, in a way that means the furniture can still be disassembled and reassembled as required for house moves, sale or decorating purposes.
