1x1 Inch Square Ribbed Tube Insert, 10-14g

These 1x1" square ribbed tube inserts are designed to provide a clean, secure finish for square tube and box section. Thanks to the flexible lateral ribs running around the shank of the insert, they should be suitable for tube wall thickness of between 2 to 3mm metric (10-14 gauge imperial), unless otherwise stated. 

Manufactured from durable LDPE plastic, they are commonly used as protective end caps, tube feet, and finishing plugs across furniture, fabrication, and light industrial applications. They're designed to retain themselves inside tube, with the head sitting over the outer ends of the tube or box section, sitting flush with the outside edges of the tube, providing a neat finished appearance.

fast delivery but the tube ends are still quite brittle and break easly so too many wasted

Thanks for your comments - generally all these tube inserts are made from LDPE which is the industry standard material for this type of product. Although a flexible material by nature, ideal for driving into tube - LDPE can be affected by extreme cold, so I'm not sure the circumstances when you tried to insert them, as to whether or not this could have had an impact on the effectiveness of the ribbed design.

The other suggestion I can offer up is that possibly you consider trying a different insert, as there are a number available for this external tube size. As tube comes in many different wall thicknesses or gauge sizes and the radiuses on the corners can even play a part too, we offer the option to request free of charge samples online allowing you to try before you buy.
