22mm Round Ribbed Tube Insert, 1.5-2mm, Silent

These plastic tube inserts are designed primarily for use in chair and table legs, due to their noise reducing properties - thanks to the addition of a specially designed base. Perfect for use in schools, universities, lecture halls and function rooms and also anywhere where sound quality needs to be preserved!

The main body of the insert itself, is manufactured from Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), designed to absorb vibrations. While the base itself is manufactured from Polyoxymethylene (POM) with Teflon, used specifically for it's gliding properties, to minimise noise and distraction.

All our tube fittings are listed in exactly the same way, which is the same way they sell tube - so that's the head diameter of the inserts (which has to correspond to the outside diameter of the tube)by the wall thickness. The tops of the inserts are designed to sit flush with the outside of the tube whilst the shank has flexible horizontal ribs to suit a multitude of tube wall thicknesses.

A: We've just updated all the listings now on these parts, to give a much more detailed description of the design and material - so please feel free to check again and hopefully you'll find all the answers you're hoping for. Regarding the durability, specific applications are obviously going to play a factor here, so I'd recommend you use the orange 'Request a Sample' button you'll find on each product page, as there's no substitute for physically trying them in your particular application.
