4 Uses For Adjustable Feet You Need to Know

If you’re looking for adjustable feet for your furniture or equipment, BPF Online is a great place to start. Not only do we have a wide range of different adjustable feet, but we also have many thread sizes available. That’s why, working with BPF Online, you’re likely to find exactly the adjustable feet you need for your project, first time.

So, why do we use adjustable feet?

  1. To raise an item of furniture or equipment

With so many things, one size doesn’t fit all. You may have a tall member of staff and need a higher desk to achieve the best seating position, or you may have a new cabinet that you want to arrange with a pre-existing one of a different height.

Threaded adjustable feet make it possible to adapt the height. Want to go higher? Unscrew to allow more thread and meet your desired height.

  1. To level a piece of equipment

Even the most modern of buildings don’t have a completely flat floor – and the laws of the universe dictate that if you place some equipment that needs to be level, it’ll be in the one area of the floor that isn’t. That’s where adjustable feet come in. Adjustable feet allow the four different feet to be different heights to provide a stable surface, but tilting feet can be used to give greater stability as well.

  1. To reduce noise and vibrations

Vibrations aren’t just annoying, they can damage the surfaces they rest on and interfere with other equipment and machinery too. Adjustable feet create more distance between the equipment and the floor, and with rubber feet, the rubber tips offer further insulating properties.

  1. Regular height adjustment

Some equipment and machinery need to be different heights at different times to meet the needs of the user. Sometimes, like with portable stands and stalls for exhibitions and conferences, or for desks in a hot desking office, these heights vary depending on where they are, how they are being used and who is using them. With adjustable feet, the thread length can easily be altered to accommodate different height requirements. For this, we’d recommend using threaded feet that have a slotted head and polyamide feet, making them easier to adjust quickly and easily from above.

In addition to our standard adjustable feet, we stock a wide range of other feet that can bring new qualities to your equipment such as anti-slip feet, noise-damping feet and vibration-reducing feet.
