Threaded feet or castors?

At BPF Online, we stock all types of castors and threaded feet, so whatever your furniture or fitting needs, we have the feet for you.

We have rigid feet, tilt feet, adjustable feet, industrial feet. And, for heavier appliances or furniture that you may need to move, we have castors – single-wheel and twin-wheel castors and sockets. We even have levellers for equipment that needs to be kept on a level.

Load-rated feet

Our load-rated feet are up to 462kg and are available zinc plated or in stainless steel. They can be easily purchased by thread size or by base diameter.

As standard, our load-rated feet come with a black reinforced nylon base, but we do offer a technical rubber base that has non-slip properties as an alternative. The transparent techno base offers a slightly lower load rating at just 635kg. And, while these aren’t non-slip, we do have anti-slip pads that can be added to the base of the threaded feet to remove the risk of them slipping. In technical rubber, which is non-slip, the load rating is just 27kg.

If your furniture or equipment doesn’t already have threaded tube inserts to which you can attach the threaded feet or castors, these can be bought separately in circular, square, rectangular or even triangular shapes.

Choosing Castors

Lifting heavy machinery, equipment and furniture in the workplace isn’t always advisable, and so, for those items that may need to be moved about from time to time, we have single-wheel castors and twin-wheel castors that can be attached to your equipment or furniture using threaded tube inserts.

For most situations where furniture is likely to be regularly moved like with desks, chairs or trolleys, single wheel castors will be perfectly adequate. As single wheel castors are quite simple in design, they also tend to be easily affordable.

In some circumstances, such as where space is limited, or for particularly heavy loads, twin wheel castors provide better abrasion and swivel resistance for improved control. At BPF Online, we stock load-rated castors from 28kg up to 55kgs.

We supply both braked and unbraked castors, to ensure your castors meet your needs and even keep dowel pins for castors in stock in a wide variety of diameters for fixing your castor wheels.

For more specific questions about any of our braked or unbraked castors or our threaded feet products, you can chat with our friendly and trained advisors online.
