5 Places to use a TV lift for added impact

TV Lifts are a perfect solution for those who love their TV but don’t want it taking up a position of dominance 24/7.

Some people don’t use the television very often. Others prefer to hide it from the kids. I simply prefer a minimalist look. Whatever your reason, our TV lifts allow you to hide a TV out of sight when not being used, and then position it perfectly for viewing when you’re ready to settle down to your favourite show.

TV lists are also a bit of a novelty too, so if you have a hotel, an Air BnB property, or are looking to sell or rent a room, then a TV that appears on demand can be a luxurious little feature that people remember.

How does a motorised TV lift work?

With a TV lift, the TV, suspended on telescopic poles, can be moved up or down with a motor. As the motor is activated the poles extend, raising the TV to the perfect viewing position.

How do you fit a motorised TV lift?

The hardest thing about fitting a TV lift is actually finding or building the perfect cabinet to house it. Whether it should be recessed into a floor, a worktop or the end of a bed, the cavity needs to be the right size to house the TV and the lift when fitted together.

We have two motorised TV lifts in our range. One TV lift that has a 650mm stroke motor for 25-60” TVs and another which has a 1000mm stroke motor with an impressive lifting speed of 25mm per second.

Where can you use a TV lift?

TV lifts really can be used anywhere. So, when it comes to a TV lift, your imagination is the limit.

The most popular places include:

  • Conference rooms and meeting rooms
  • Cabinets or footboards at the bottom of beds
  • Kitchen worktops or islands
  • Bars (particularly in home bars that have been popping up post Covid lockdown)
  • Dressers or cabinets

Having said that, you can get TV lifts that are resistant to wind and rain, perfect for use outside (although I’m not sure whether there’s a smart solution to deal with the glare). Or, if you enjoy a long soak in the tub, there are waterproof TV lifts on the market that could be perfect to get that optimal viewing position while soaking in the suds.

At BPF Online, like all of our products, our TV lifts are robust, reliable and easy to fit. For more information on our range of TV lifts, contact our sales team using our online chat or give us a call on 0844 7766800.
