KUBA Cable Management

Discover KUBA modular cable management

Why cable management matters

The Healthy and Safety at Work Act 1974 places organisations and businesses under a legal obligation to ensure the health and safety of employees and visitors to their premises. However, patrolling this has become increasingly difficult with BYOD policies and mobile phone charging in the office meaning cables often appear where you’re least expecting them. However, if someone was to slip or trip and injure themselves, the business may be found in breach of health and safety legislation. Therefore, it’s safer for businesses to ensure that cables are run safely to desks and workspaces where employees can power up their devices without leaving trailing cables across walkways.

What is KUBA modular cable management?

The KUBA modular cable management system is a fully dynamic cable management system which can be tailored to meet the needs of your office or workplace.

Unlike many cable management solutions, each link can be added or removed as needed to ensure that every length is a tailor-made match to fit your office of workspace.

The system consists of a series of components that can be integrated or swapped out as needed. These components include:

Cable spines

Cable spines enable number of wires to be safely encased within the rigid plastic spine which protects them from becoming entangled, twisted or damaged. The cables can then run freely up to the underside of the desk, or can run up a desk leg and, because the spines are fully adaptable, they can be used for desks and tables of all heights. Their unique cellular structure also makes the KUBA modular cable management system a really good solution for sit-stand desks where cables need additional length to meet the height demands of the desk when it’s both at its highest and at its lowest.

Brackets

These keep the cables close to the desktop to remove the risk of them becoming loose and posing a hazard.

Cable grommets or ports

Cable grommets for the KUBA cable management systems can be easily installed within a desk to enable the cables to be run up the desk legs, beneath the underside of the desk and then through a hole in the desktop to the workspace, ready for use. To install a KUBA modular cable system grommet, you simply need to drill the correct size hole in the desktop, and then screw in the grommet with a bolt that sits on the underside of the desk.

Floor spines

These protect cables that run along the floor and, with angled sides, reduce the risk of trips and slips, while also protecting your cables at the same time.

KUBA cable management system magnetic connectors

These make it easy to connect these spines to a metal plate on the underside of the desk for quick and easy installation.

The KUBA modular cable management system isn’t just perfect for phone charger cables and PC cables, but also for lamps, printers, scanners, electric desks, and all of your other office electrical appliances.
